Privacy policy

What we collect

We collect only what we need to sell, deliver, and support the service:

• Account data: your name, email address, and, where you order as a business, your company name and tax number.
• Billing data: billing address and payment records. Full card numbers are handled by our payment providers and never reach our servers.
• Service data: the plans you order, the region you choose, and the hostnames and IP addresses assigned to you.
• Technical logs: IP addresses, timestamps, and connection records generated when you access our website, account area, or servers. These are used for security, abuse investigation, and troubleshooting.
• Support data: the messages you send us and our replies.

What we do not collect

We do not inspect, copy, or mine the contents of your instance. Our staff access it only where you ask us to, or where we must act on a security or abuse issue, and that access is logged.

Our website carries no advertising trackers and no third-party analytics scripts.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

• To provide and support the service, and to bill you for it: performance of our contract with you.
• To keep the network secure and investigate abuse: our legitimate interest in protecting our infrastructure and other customers.
• To meet accounting, tax, and law enforcement obligations: compliance with a legal obligation.
• To send service notices such as maintenance windows and billing alerts: performance of our contract. These are not marketing and you cannot opt out of them while you hold an active service.
• To send optional product updates, where offered: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. We share only with the providers needed to run the service:

• Payment providers, to take payment and handle disputes.
• Datacenter and network partners in the region you selected, to host your instance.
• Email and support tooling, to communicate with you.
• Professional advisers, and authorities where we are legally required to disclose.

Where your data is held

Your instance runs in the region you select. Account and billing records may be processed in other countries where our providers operate. Where data leaves the UK or EEA, we rely on an adequacy decision or on standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

• Account and billing records: for as long as you hold an account, then for the period required by tax and accounting law in Wyoming, United States.
• Connection and security logs: a limited retention period set for security purposes, after which they are deleted or aggregated.
• Instance data: deleted after termination, following the notice period described in our terms of service.
• Support conversations: kept while they remain useful for supporting you, then deleted.

Security

We use encrypted connections, access controls, and logged administrative access. No system is perfectly secure, and you are responsible for the security of what runs inside your own instance, including patching, passwords, and the software you install.

If a breach affects your personal data and is likely to result in a risk to you, we will notify you and the relevant supervisory authority as required by law.

Cookies

Our website uses no tracking or advertising cookies. Your theme preference is stored locally in your browser and never sent to us. The account area uses cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to processing, receive it in a portable format, or withdraw consent you previously gave.

To exercise any of these, email [email protected] from the address on your account. We respond within one month. We may ask you to verify your identity first.

Some data cannot be deleted on request where we must keep it, for example invoices retained for tax purposes.

If you are unhappy with how we handled your request, you may complain to the data protection authority in your country.

Children

The service is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The current version is always published here with the date it took effect. Where a change materially affects how we use your data, we will tell you before it applies.
